[Monaco] First National Day for Charlene as a Princess

It was arguably the biggest event since her wedding in July of this year. But Princess Charlene of Monaco was the epitome of cool as she celebrated her nation's first National Day in an official capacity.

The blonde South African has accompanied Prince Albert to the celebrations in previous years, but this was her first appearance as a princess.

And, despite having to recently deny runaway bride reports on a US chat show, Albert and Charlene looked blissfully happy as they led the festivities.

The morning ceremonies saw the pair take to the balcony in Monaco Palace Square.

Elegant in beige, Charlene smiled and waved to the crowds in the square below as Albert stood proudly by her side.

The royals looked close as they exchanged intimate smiles and entwined hands in a show of unity.

It was a family affair as Albert's sisters - Princess Stephanie and Caroline – strolled alongside their new sister-in-law during the parade.

Caroline's daughters, Charlotte Casiraghi and Alexandra were also in attendance.

The patriotic party culminated in a concert at the Grimaldi forum where Charlene opted for muted glamour in a brown, floor length gown and sleek up-do.

Then the princess was presented a bouquet of flowers by children dressed as Pierrots.

Pierre Casiraghi, his brother Andrea and his girlfriend Tatiana Santo Domingo, top model Eva Herzigova and Margherita Missoni, were among those attending the wedding of Matilde Borromeo and Prince Antonius von Furstenberg that was held in the Isola Bella (Borromean Islands), in the north of Italy.

The groom, Antonius - the son of Prince Heinrich and Princess Maximiliane of Windisch-Gratz - arrived with his mother at the magical palace enclave on Lake Maggiore. Most guests arrived at the ceremony by boat. For one of the most important days in the life of his young son, the proud mother was radiant in a flowing gown of aqua color that blended perfectly with her son's tie, who also opted for blue.

The royal touch was given by the children of Princess Caroline of Monaco who chose very different looks to attend: while Andrea went for comfortable, casual clothing, Pierre chose to wear an elegant gray suit and tie.

For her part, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Andrea Casiraghi's girlfriend, was one of the guests that caught the attention upon arrival at the link because, true to herself, opted for an asymmetrical dress very spring which combined with silver flat sandals and a handbag in orange tones.

Belonging to one of the most illustrious families of Italy since the medieval times, Matilda is Beatrice Borromeo - Pierre's girlfriend - sister, which we could not see his arrival at the ceremony, as well as Isabella and Lavinia. We don't get to see him often, isn't it? Here is Pierre Casiraghi, Princess Caroline's second son at the same showjumping event his family attended this weekend, in the company of his beautiful girlfriend, Beatrice Borromeo.

Monaco’s Caroline and Albert offer a taste of Morocco at annual Rose Ball

The bright colours and eye-catching designs of Morocco arrived in Monaco at the weekend as Prince Albert and Princess Caroline hosted the international jet set at the annual Rose Ball.

One of the most glamourous events in the Monegasque calendar, the charity dance unites the Grimaldi family and special guests at Monte Carlo’s Sporting Club and follows a different theme each year.

This time Albert’s girlfriend Charlene Wittstock and Caroline’s children Andrea, Pierre and Charlotte Casiraghi joined Princess Lalla Joumala Alaoui of Morocco at a soiree that could have come straight from the pages of One Thousand and One Nights.

Getting into the theme Caroline accessorised her black-and-gold gown with a red bag inspired by a typical north African fez hat.

Charlene opted for a nude-coloured dress with an asymmetrical, turquoise-tinged shoulder strap, while Charlotte, who arrived with boyfriend Alex Dellal, dazzled in a pale-pink number with a funky criss-crossing silver neckline.

Also present at the event, which raises money for the Princess Grace Foundation, were Charlotte’s brothers Andrea and Pierre with their respective girlfriends Tatiana Santodomingo and Beatrice Borromeo.

If being in love makes your heart do somersaults, then Princess Caroline's son Pierre Casiraghi has clearly fallen hard for his girlfriend of one year, Italian society beauty Beatrice Borromeo.

As the loved up pair soaked up the sun on a luxury yacht in Grosetto, Italy, the handsome Monegasque royal went head over heels – literally – albeit over the side of the boat.

Energetic Pierre and Beatrice have been inseparable since they met while studying at Milan's Luigi Bocconi University. Beatrice, a part time model and the daughter of a count, is working towards a law degree.

Meanwhile 21-year-old Pierre is reading Economics. He's expected to put his studies to good use working in the companies of his late father Stefano Casiraghi, who passed away in 1990. The businesses are currently being managed by his uncle Marco.

For now, studying seems far from Pierre's mind, however, as he makes the most of his summer break with Beatrice. The jet-setting couple were last month spotted cruising the azure waters of St Tropez together.
