No-one was cheering more loudly than Princess Maxima and her husband Prince Willem-Alexander when the Netherlands got through to the World Cup final. And it seems the couple's little girls have been equally swept up in football fever. In their official summer photocall, Princess Catharina-Amalia was snapped tooting on an orange vuvuzela – the noisy horns which have characterised this year's competition.
Meanwhile her sisters Princess Alexia, five and Princess Ariane, three, showed off their footballing skills. The duo kicked balls around the grounds of the family's official residence, the Villa Eikenhorst at the Horsten gardens in Wassenaar, South Holland. All three of the little girls were cute as buttons in matching pink gingham dresses. And of course completing the family scene were their parents Willem-Alexander and Maxima – elegant as ever in a sleveless slash neck dress in navy and white.
