About Arthur: Arthur Gerald Wellesley, Earl of Mornington (born 31 January 1978 in Paddington, London, Middlesex), is the son of (Arthur) Charles Valerian Wellesley, Marquess of Douro, and after his father heir to the Dukedom of Wellington. Through his mother, HRH Princess Antonia of Prussia, he is a descendant of Queen Victoria, a great-great-grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II and is c. 359th in the line of succession to the British Throne. The Wellesleys are an aristocratic Anglo-Irish family.
Educated at Eton College, Christ Church, Oxford (obtaining a first-class degree) and Columbia Business School, he has worked in private equity.
He married Jemma Madeleine Kidd (born 1974), great-granddaughter of Lord Beaverbrook, on 4 June 2005 at St James' Church in Barbados. Due to this marriage Jemma acquired the title of Countess of Mornington. The title is named after Mornington, a village in the east of County Meath in Ireland.
Lord Mornington and his wife announced they were expecting twins, due in January 2010. Lady Mornington gave birth to a girl and a boy, Lady Mae Madeleine and Arthur Darcy, who takes the courtesy title Viscount Wellesley. The twins were born in early January at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.Lord Mornington and his son have the right to succeed to the Dukedom of Wellington and the title Prince of Waterloo, while he and both his children have the right to succeed to the Dukedom of Ciudad Rodrigo.
About Jemma: Jemma Madeleine Wellesley, Countess of Mornington, née Kidd (born 20 September 1974 in Guildford), is an English countess, a make up artist, and a fashion model.
Jemma is the second daughter of Johnny and Wendy Madeline Hodge Kidd, the daughter of Sir John Rowland Hodge, 2nd Baronet. Jemma is also a paternal great-granddaughter of the newspaper baron Lord Beaverbrook who founded "The Daily Express".
The sister of international supermodel Jodie Kidd, Jemma led a successful career as a fashion model in her own right before discovering a new calling as a make-up artist. In 2003, Jemma opened her own "Make-up School" in London, and a cosmetics line of the same name was launched in 2006 and is available in the UK (in Boots), America, Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada. She is married to Arthur Wellesley, Earl of Mornington, elder son and heir of the Marquess of Douro (himself eldest son and heir apparent of the Duke of Wellington). Their wedding took place at St James Church in Barbados on 4 June 2005.
On 12 September 2009, the couple announced they are expecting twins due in January 2010. Lady Mornington gave birth to twins on January 4, 2010; a girl Mae Madeline and a boy Arthur Darcy, who takes the courtesy title Viscount Wellesley. The twins were born in early January at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
