| Despite what one can safely assume are feverish preparations for her wedding to Prince Albert of Monaco next month, Charlene Wittstock is still busy with her charity work. The former champion swimmer lent her star power to a charity catwalk show in aid of the Special Olympics, the movement which celebrates athletes with intellectual disabilities. Charlene, a global ambassador for the cause, radiated enthusiasm as she held hands with two special young people at the Amber Lounge fashion show, and their joyous smiles told their own story. |

Charity work has always played a major role in Charlene’s life, including teaching swimming and giving motivational talks in her homeland South Africa.
In February, the kind-hearted blonde even returned to her native land to take part a sponsored swim for disabled Olympians.
However, new responsibilities beckon in Monaco and the 33-year-old has great plans for the future.
She wants to transform the principality's reputation as an enclave for jetsetters and the über-rich, showing the world that it can be influential in charitable causes.
This devotion to mentoring disabled athletes was very much in evidence later that evening, when Charlene escorted the two young adults to a party aboard a luxury superyacht.
The glamazon was genuinely attentive to her special guests, giving them a taste of the high life and introducing them to inspirational figures such as Formula 1 racing driver Michael Schumacher, with her arm around their shoulders.
And they will surely cherish their memories of a princess-in-waiting who found time for them amidst the demands of the celebrity attendees.
