A placement with royal solicitors boosts Chelsy's career prospects

Prince Harry's girlfriend Chelsy Davy has won a prestigious work placement at the Queen's solicitors, Farrer & Co. A former economics student who excelled at Cape Town University before starting her postgraduate legal degree in Leeds, the Zimbabwean-born blonde is working at the firm's offices in Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, over Christmas. The plum contract will mean the 23-year-old can spend plenty of time with her royal beau, as the offices are near Clarence House, Harry's base in the capital. She won the £250-a-week placement in the face of stiff competition from hundreds of other legal eagles. "Vacation placements are more competitive than the company's two-year training contracts," a recently qualified solicitor told the Daily Mail.Chelsy, a regular on the London party scene, is said to have cut down on socialising recently as her two-year law degree reaches its conclusion. In the final months her course at Leeds will focus on criminal law, equity law and land law, with the students also required to hand in a 15,000-word dissertation.

Kate... the secret star of William's Wembley gig

Despite her split from William in April, Kate Middleton will be attending the memorial event at the new Wembley stadium, along with Prince Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy.
"They have been very active behind the scenes, but their involvement has been kept very quiet until now," my Royal source tells me.
"It will be quite significant for Kate as it will be her first public event with William since they split.
"She helped him draw up a wish list of acts and William wants her to see the results of it all on the night.
"Both she and Chelsy will be backstage supporting."
The concert, which will mark the tenth anniversary of Diana’s death, was the brainchild of William and Harry.
Kate and Chelsy will be given VIP Access All Areas passes for the gig which will include songs from Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart and Lily Allen.
"Chelsy is coming back from her travels and has already picked about five friends to bring with her," I’m informed.
"Kate hasn’t decided who she’ll take, but it will probably be her sister Pippa."
A senior aide of the Princes last night confirmed Kate and Chelsy would attend, as well as other friends of the princes.

[United-Kingdom] British royal family and Badminton
The Badminton Horse Trials is an occasion for the country-loving set to catch up over glasses of bubbly while watching the equestrian action. But as the afternoon wore on the pretty blonde and her beau kept to themselves, at one point sneaking off to walk the course alone. Chelsy - in a tendy printed top and jeans - hung on her royal lover's every word, chuckling as he regaled her with jokes and anecdotes. Harry's cousin, Zara Phillips, who eschewed social chit chat to focus on competing, was also looking very much in tune with her long-term boyfriend Mike Tindall.
And the loving, supportive nature of the pair's relationship was clear for all to see as Zara, smartly turned out for the dressage contest, received a gentle kiss and some words of encouragement from the 28-year-old rugby ace, with whom she shares a home. Meanwhile Prince William, having parted from his former girlfriend Kate Middleton, was keeping his mind firmly on the sporting action as he watched from the sidelines.
Although not present on the same day as her erstwhile beau, Wills' pretty ex made sure she didn't miss out on the event's social action. She and a close group of pals, including a mystery companion, enjoyed a day out at Badminton on Friday, browsing the stalls together before finding a place in the VIP stand to watch the competition.
